Socially Responsible Deliciousness
Cocoaro Craft Chocolate hand crafts our bean to bar chocolates from beans where we know that the farmers have been paid real value for their work growing the fruit. Our importers have direct, personal relationships with the farmers and fermentaries. In turn these cacao producers invest more care into their processes to produce beans that have amazing flavour.
We show our respect for the work of the bean producers by working hard to make the best chocolate that highlights the unique flavours of the regions and beans. Bars are then hand-wrapped with beautiful handmade traditional chiyogami paper, making the bars beautiful enough to gift as they are. In Japanese, when you have “good kokoro”, it means you have a good spirit, so when you have good Cocoa-ro, from the farmers to the person eating the bar, you have chocolate with good heart.
First, we taste with our eyes…
…then we taste with our mouths.
